Keep bandage on tattoo for 24 hours.
After 24 hours remove bandage, wash tattoo gently in shower with warm water and scent-Free soap. Pat dry with clean paper towel and apply a THIN layer of sent-free lotion (I find Aquafor works awesome and suggest this product over any other lotion). PLEASE make sure tattoo is completely dry before applying lotion. I always suggest doing this 3-4 times a day for the first 7 days. I know this seems a lot but to keep it clean - keeps its from scabbing. Always best to wear loose clothing to prevent rubbing.
IF we decide to use second skin for your tattoo. Please keep the bandage on for the entire 7 days as long as it doesn't leak out. There is an option to be wrapped with "ol' meat packets" for 24 hours and then applying the second skin after cleaning it (either by me or yourself/friend), this is the best option in my opinion as you've had time for weeping plasma to do its thing. REMOVE SECOND SKIN DRY, NOT IN THE SHOWER. I souly use the product "SHIELD" from Deadly North Supplies.
**Please note if it does leak out before the 7 days please remove it immediately (if liquid can get out, it means bacteria can get it in folks). Clean it in the shower, pat dry with a clean paper towel, and then follow the steps above to healing the good ol' fashion way. Do NOT reapply second skin, that gives another chance of trapping bacteria in the tattoo.
No direct sunlight, no pools/lakes, no sunscreen.
DO NOT PICK tattoo.
If you're a gym person - give yourself a good 3-4 days off before going to the gy,m... consider the germs there.
